Office guidance on football-related legislation is an
excellent starting point for research on football safety and
official documents. This circular includes information on
legislation, the role of the courts and the police, civil
procedures and powers of arrest.
The
Football
(Disorder) Act 2000 is available to read online through
the HMSO (Her Majesty's Stationery Office) website. This Act
is described as 'An Act to make further provision for the
purpose of preventing violence or disorder at or in connection
with association football matches; and for connected purposes'.
